Theater Performances

Teatro KadaKen’s youth theater performances are offered to primary and secondary schools in Curaçao, across the Caribbean, and occasionally to schools in the Netherlands that have a high number of Antillean and Surinamese children and teens.

Teatro KadaKen’s performances center around urgent social themes such as drugs, violence, single-parent families, sexuality, and the role of children and young people in today’s society. These topics are especially relevant for the youth of Curaçao. Through theater, Teatro KadaKen hopes to inspire children and teens to reflect on their lives, explore new paths, and recognize or further develop their talents and potential.

In 2009, Teatro KadaKen premiered its first youth production: Shame… or: The Deconstruction of Edsel K., written by Albert Schoobaar.
